What the Bible Said Last Weekend

This is from last weekend.  I’ll catch up.  Just daily life demands more than the blog sometimes.

Isaiah 24, 25, 26, 27, 29, 30, 31, 32, 33.

Bad news.  Praise to the Lord.  Deliverance to Israel.  Woe to Ephraim.  Woe to David’s City.  Woe to the obstinate nation.  Don’t rely on Egypt’s power.  Be the Kingdom of Righteousness.  Then, more distress and help.

  • The Sovereign Lord will wipe away the tears from all faces.
  • God makes salvation its (strong city) walls and ramparts
  • Trust in the Lord forever
  • Yes, Lord, walking in the way of your laws, we wait for you
  • When He makes all the altar stones to be like chalk stones crushed to pieces, no Asherah poles or incense altars will be left standing
  • Your covenant with death will be annulled; your agreement with the grave will not stand
  • These people come near to me with their mouth and honor me with their lips, but their hearts are far from me.  Their worship of me is made up only of rules taught by men.
  • In repentance and rest is your salvation, in quietness and trust is your strength
