What the Bible Said Today

Here below is what the Bible said to me today.  From the One Year Chronological Bible, New Living Translation,  House Publishing, Inc.

Today, July 3rd, was Proverbs 30:1 through 31:31.

It’s an appendix to Solomon with the writing of a wise man, Agur son of Jakeh, and the sayings of a non-Israelite King Lemuel.

Let the Human Owner’s Manual speak for itself:

Proverbs 30.

  • He proclaims he is “the most ignorant of men” and has no “knowledge of the Holy One,” but he knows His words.  So, he asks “Who has established all the ends of the earth?  What is his name, and the name of his son?  (Words just as the Lord challenged Job)
  • “Every word of God is flawless.”  God, not Allah, Buddha or Rama.
  • “Do not add to his words, or he will rebuke you and prove you a liar.”  Jehovah’s Witnesses and Mormons take note.

Proverbs 31.  This is 31 verses for women.   Tells women how to be a woman.  Following this guidance brings results.

  • Her children arise and call her blessed; her husband also, and he praises her;
  • Many women do noble things, but you surpass them all.
  • Charm is deceptive, and beauty is fleeting, but a woman who fears the Lord is to be praised.

You see, the glory of woman or man is their relationship with the one, true, living Lord God.  The God of the Holy Bible.  The God seen in the personhood of Jesus of Nazareth – a man who is revealed to all as Jesus Christ.

Life is about relationships.  It all begins with the ‘I-thou’ relationship between God and man.  Which is the ‘I AM – I’ relationship, actually, between the Creator spirit and His created spirit.   Each and every individual that ever lived and shall live.

Every other relationship flows from this fundamental relationship in your life.  And, that is what life is all about.
