Big Time Thanksgiving Blessing

Son-in-law came home from combat deployment much earlier than imagined.  He just showed up on daughter’s door step.

Thank YOU, Lord Jesus, for his safe return.

Huge blessing for tomorrow’s Thanksgiving.  Especially because his family was visiting my daughter – and didn’t know he was coming home now.

Praise the Lord.

  1. Wow! That is incredible. God bless him.

    We have kids and grandson in, except for my eldest son and his wife who are with her family. His wife’s brother is in Afghanistan. My son in law is not deployed this year and is with us. So great to be in a family with so many soldiers.

    Yall have a great Thanksgiving. Psalm 100.

  2. Thanks, DV.

    Psalm 100
    A Psalm of Thanksgiving.
    1 Make a joyful shout to the LORD, all you lands!
    2 Serve the LORD with gladness;
    Come before His presence with singing.
    3 Know that the LORD, He is God;
    It is He who has made us, and not we ourselves;
    We are His people and the sheep of His pasture.

    4 Enter into His gates with thanksgiving,
    And into His courts with praise.
    Be thankful to Him, and bless His name.
    5 For the LORD is good;
    His mercy is everlasting,
    And His truth endures to all generations.

  3. What an absolutely thrilling blessing that must have been. I’m sure it would have been a great Thanksgiving even if there had only been a tin of Spam on the table.

    Sorry I’ve been away for a while, JAB. But I have been keeping up with you from afar. Best wishes (belated) for Thanksgiving and the coming Advent season. I have every confidence that your recent change in professional activity will free you up to do even greater things and make even greater contributions to family, community, Commonwealth, and Nation.

  4. NoVa: Thanks for your unfailing kindness and encouragement. We’ll see what happens.
