2012 Vice-Presidential Debates

The VP debate was political theater

Good political theater takes good characters, strong story and memorable dialogue.   Passable political theater takes a lot less.  That’s what America got yesterday.   We got comedy and drama like the iconic theater masks.  Joe Biden provided the comedy.  Actually, Biden gave buffoonery.  Paul Ryan gave the drama.

Biden’s smirks, smiles, sneers and condescending arrogance wasn’t quite the stuff of the solemn gravitas of Dick Cheney.  It was as memorable as Al Gore’s ponderous sighs.  Very un-Vice Presidential.  Very much in keeping with the arrogance fueled by ignorance that is today’s Liberalism.   Or, the progressivists, socialist, commies, Democrats – whatever they call themselves in the moment.

Ryan was respectful, focused and on point.  He did a great job explaining the 5 step plan to restore the economy.  His explanation of his faith and social policy – abortion – was clear, passionate and strong.

2 down and 2 to go.  W:L = 2:0 for America.  For the Republic.
