Son-in-law is back from the sandbox. Home for a year.
Three grandbabies and oldest daughter out of my house for awhile. The quiet will be deafening. Happy for every moment they all get together for the next year.
God is good. All the time. No matter what.
Praise the Lord Jesus.
Last year when my son in law returned from his second 15+ month infantry tour in IZ we missed having my daughter and grandson around as they moved out, so I fully understand your feelings. But empty nesting isn’t so bad, just different.
Glad to see him return safely.

congratulations and thanks to your son-in-law. I’ve started a program in airports when I travel of intercepting service men’s bar bills and paying them. I’m usually gone before they figure out that it has happened. It’s an absolute trifle. But, man, does it make me feel good. Totally selfish on my part, I guess.

I wouldn’t call it selfish. Thanks on behalf of the thirsty troops.
